Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Accept Insurance?

Nuptuall welcomes clients who have insurance as well as those who prefer to pay out of pocket. Each of our therapists collaborates with different insurance providers. We strive to connect you with a professional who not only aligns well with your needs but also accepts your insurance plan.

Which insurances do Nuptuall Therapists accept?

Our therapists accept one of the following major insurance carriers: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and United/Optum/Oxford.

How much is therapy if I pay out-of-pocket?

Clients are expected to select one of our three membership options. All payments are made in advance and are non-refundable. This policy guarantees that our providers receive fair compensation for their efforts, allowing us to deliver the highest quality of care. However, if a prospective client is currently registered with a different practice or an online therapy service, they can send an invoice from that provider to our email for consideration. We will do our utmost to match or offer a better rate than the other practice.

If you accept my insurance, do I have to pay anything?

Clients will be accountable for any charges related to their insurance plans. The insurance provider determines the specific fees and the amounts that clients are liable for. These charges may encompass co-insurance, co-payments, and/or deductibles.

How will I know what I will be responsible for financially?

Nuptuall prioritizes transparency in all aspects of our services. We will review your insurance benefits and clearly communicate what you can expect prior to your initial session with your designated therapist. For those who are paying out-of-pocket, our fees will be displayed when you choose the membership plan that best fits your needs.

What if I need a psychiatric prescriber in addition to a therapist?

Nuptuall providers can help clients establish connections with a psychiatric prescriber for medication management, both within our network and externally if necessary.

What do I do if I am having a mental health crisis?

Nuptuall is not designed for individuals who frequently encounter or may anticipate facing a mental health crisis. Mental health care encompasses a range of levels, and Nuptuall, along with its partners, focuses on outpatient services, which represent the most basic level of support. This approach is intended for people dealing with typical everyday challenges. If you believe your situation requires more intensive support, we strongly encourage you to consult an in-person therapist or explore the additional resources listed below for further help.
